Terms and Conditions of Hire

1. All bikes are hired subject to availability.
2. Rental periods:
   • Weekly Rate: Seven consecutive days.
   • Weekend Rate: Pick up Friday, return on Monday.
   • Daily Rate: Any 24-hour period.
3. Driver Requirements:
   • Any driving convictions must be declared at time of booking.
   • Hirer must have had their current full bike licence for a minimum period of 2 years.
   • Licence details must satisfy the insurance requirements.
4. Proof of identity:
   • Hirers must provide photographic identification in the form of either driving licence or passport, and provide two additional forms of identification. I.e. Bank Statement or Utility Bills showing proof of address.
   • The Superbike Club will copy ID and Driving Licence for insurance purposes.
5. Deposit:
   • At the time of collecting the bike, a deposit must be received as cleared funds before the commencement of hire.
   • Members may choose whether to leave the deposit for the duration of the membership, or the deposit can be returned at the end of each hire period.
   • Any damage sustained during the hire will be deducted from the deposit.
6. Included in Hire:
   • Fully Comprehensive Insurance.
   • Recovery & Roadside Assistance.
   • Mileage is limited to 200 miles per day, an additional charge of £0.20 will be charged for each mile above this limit.
   • Some bikes are fitted with anti-theft devices and/or fitted with data tags.
   • Off-road parking for your car or bike at our premises is at owner’s risk.
   • Motorcycle will be provided with a full tank of fuel.
7. Use of Bike:
   • Hirer shall restrict riding to the persons mentioned on the Hirer Agreement Form if they are permitted to ride under the insurance.
8. Hirer Shall:
   • Use the bike in a proper and careful manner and only for social, domestic and pleasure purposes and excluding:
     • Any race, competition or trial;
     • Use for hire or reward; or
     • Drawing a trailer.
   • Comply with all the statutes orders byelaws and regulations applying to the use of the Bike, and will indemnify the Club against any costs charges fees or penalties of whatever nature incurred by it in dealing with any notices or fines received by it associated the use of the Bike by the Hirer.
   • Lock the bike when left unattended.
   • Return the bike to The Superbike Club at the end of the hire at the club’s address from which the bike was let in the same condition that it was at the commencement of the hire. (Delivery and collection may be possible, contact The Superbike Club for details.)
   • Compensate The Superbike Club in full on demand for any loss it suffers as a result of any damage, fire or theft to or of the bike and any claims made by any person in respect of the bike whilst it is in the Hirer’s custody.
   • Notify The Superbike Club immediately of any accident in which the bike is involved, even if the bike is not damaged.
   • Must return motorcycle with a full tank of fuel, and a charge of £1.25 per litre required to fill the tank will be deducted from the deposit.
   • The motorcycle shall be inspected thoroughly by the Hirer prior to hire and upon return. The Hirer shall be given the opportunity to inspect and highlight any blemishes on the motorcycle prior to commencement of the hire.
9. The Superbike Club:
   • Reserves the right to provide information on the Hirer to the relevant authorities in the event of any claims or parking tickets or speeding fines, including law breaking.
   • Reserves the right to cancel any bookings and will provide a full refund upon cancellation.
   • Accepts no liability in respect of any injury, loss or damage arising from the use of the bike.
   • The hired motorcycle shall be inspected thoroughly by The Superbike Club prior to hire and upon return.
10. Reserving the motorcycle:
    • Hirers may book their bike up to 12 months in advance. 25% of the hire fee is payable at the time of booking. If the booking is less than 28 days away then full payment must be made.
11. Cancellations:
    • 28 full days notice – full refund.
    • 14-27 days notice – 75% refund.
    • 1-13 days notice – 50% refund.
    • Day of hire – no refund will be available.
