A welcome from the founder of The Superbike Club
Hi, my name is David Smith and I’d like to bid you a warm welcome to The Superbike Club, the north-west region’s premier motorcycle hire club.
Anyone who has owned a bike knows how expensive a hobby it can be: buying the bike, insuring it, taxing it, MOTs, servicing, cleaning. Not to mention depreciation and the need for storage. Some people only use their bikes on glorious summer days and probably do not realise how much money they are wasting.
Why not join The Superbike Club?

I have over 35 years' riding experience across a wide range of models and have successfully competed in many forms of motorcycle sport. I was a stunt and show rider specialising in wheelies for many years and set an unofficial world wheelie distance record of 14.76 miles on 10th October 1980.
Last year I achieved a flying kilometre wheelie speed record at Elvington in York in the <500cc class, passing through the speed trap at 79.9 mph.
I formed The Superbike Club using initially my own personal collection of motorcycles.I thought, since I couldn't ride them all at the same time, why not give other people the opportunity to experience the thrill of riding the wide range of bikes without having to go out and actually buy the bike.
